Finding the right civil surgeon

The proper completion of the I-693 form requires a visit with a civil surgeon as designated by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). To become a designated civil surgeon, one must at minimum be either an M.D. or D.O. designated doctor with 5 years of active, non-residency, experience. This will ensure that your doctor can accurately detect, diagnose, and treat any issue that might keep an applicant from moving forward with their immigration status change.

PicMed has two designated civil surgeons with over 60 years of combined experience, Dr. Sharon Smallwood, Dr. Annalee Miller, and Dr. Steven Egwuonwu represent the best and highest quality of care; ensuring that your visit at PicMed will be pleasant, professional, and quick.

Along with our experienced medical doctors, PicMed’s staff understands the need for accurate and timely completion of the I-693 form. With a number of languages spoken by staff members, including Spanish, PicMed will make sure that patients have a full understanding of the physical process, ensure accurate translation of foreign documents, and strive to have the physical and I-693 form completed within a reasonable time frame.
